Photography 🢒 Morocco 1995
Laayoun, Western Sahara. I snapped this during a brief stop on my way from Agadir to Gran Canaria.
The UN jet would undoubtedly have been part of their presence overseeing the truce between Morocco and the Polisario Front wanting independence for Western Sahara. The dispute continues, with the UN and some other countries recognizing the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic, but even by 1995 Morocco had actual control of it.
